Getting to know our PLD Space partners 🚀

The company from Elche, PLD Space, recognized for being the first private European company in developing and successfully launching a space rocket, joins us as a Technology Partner at Space Camp 2025, reinforcing its commitment to the training of future generations in the aerospace field (Cadena SER).

Your projection

Founded in 2011 by Raul Torres and Raúl Verdú, PLD Space has grown from a small project in Elche to an international benchmark in the development of reusable rockets. Its suborbital launcher MIURA 1 completed a successful flight in October 2023, from the El Arenosillo Experimentation Center (CEDEA) in Huelva, becoming the first private rocket successfully launched in Europe.

Currently, the company is working on ambitious projects such as the MIURA 5 and the manned capsule LINCE: the company's goal is to lead the way in access to space for small satellites and manned missions.

Next to Space Camp

In this edition of Space Camp, PLD Space will bring its experience and innovative vision to bring engineering and space exploration to the young participants. While we will be revealing the specific details of their collaboration, their participation promises to enrich the program with inspiring and educational activities. In addition, it reaffirms its commitment to STEAM education by offering scholarships for young people in vulnerable situations, facilitating their access to this unique experience (Digital People).

Space Camp 2025 will be held at the facilities of Valencia Innovation Capital between June 23 and July 25, offering five weekly expeditions for young people between the ages of 10 and 17. This program combines technical training, space simulations and science outreach, providing an exceptional opportunity to discover the exciting world of space exploration.
