Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit Onda Cero Valencia to share first-hand everything that we are preparing for the new edition of Space Camp 2025. Our CEO, Raquel Ibañez, and our partner Carlos Sánchez were in charge of representing the team of Escuela de Ciencia in an interview where we talked about science, vocations, and above all, the future.
The interview
In particular, we discuss how Space Camp has established itself as the most advanced aerospace education program in Spain for young people between the ages of 10 and 17. This year, in addition, we are taking another step forward by incorporating new ambassadors and mentors: the space industry professionals who will accompany the participants in their first contact with this exciting sector.
During the interview, Raquel highlighted the importance of bringing science and space technology closer to young people, mentioning that "Space Camp allows young people to experience their first real contact with aerospace science and technology, guided by people who are active in the industry today.". Carlos added that "they don't just learn theory, but they experience science firsthand, from flying an ultralight aircraft to training as an astronaut in a human gyroscope.".
We also talked about the new activities we are incorporating this year, such as a Mars mission simulator in virtual reality, and those you have already been able to enjoy such as the construction and launching of water-propelled rockets, and team engineering projects with real space industry standards.
The new edition
The 2025 edition will be held at the facilities of Valencia Innovation Capital (Joan Verdeguer, 16), in five weekly expeditions between June 23 and July 25, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. As always, we continue to work with key partners such as PLD Space, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Valencia Innovation Capital to bring science and the aerospace industry closer to new generations.
