On March 6th, Space Camp Valencia organized a special online live event in collaboration with the «Astronaut for a Day» program of the Spanish Space Agency (AEE).
During the broadcast, Isabel Vera Trallero, director of AEE's Space and Society Office, and Raquel Ibáñez Peral, director of Space Camp València, went step by step through everything you need to know to submit a solid application:
- What evaluators look for
- How to structure the motivational video
- What experiences and competencies to highlight
- What are the most common mistakes to avoid?
In addition, the questions left by the attendees in the chat were answered live.
The «Astronaut for a Day» program is aimed at young people from 16 to 22 years old who are in high school or university studies in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). It is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the world of space exploration at the hands of the Spanish Space Agency.
